Yobuko and Itoshima

Jay

I went to Yobuko with Jay and Akiko.

It's been ten years since last time for me.

We arranged to meet in early morning.

We can go by high way but it's not interesting

so we went to Futamigaura.

IMG_5294.JPG

It's not interesting only with car ride and food.

I was sorry with this noisy old car though.

My new car will come tomorrow...

IMG_5304.JPG

Makino-udon, the head store.

We have other nice food beside ramen in Fukuoka

and this is fun to eat!

IMG_5297.JPG

4 of us thought we would have two bowls and share

but smells so good and we forgot about what we thought.

IMG_5300.JPG

Gaijin like this "free negi" and "free soup" system.

IMG_5301.JPG

Jay likes this very soft noodle.

The first soft noodle also for Akiko.

Sanuki-udon is getting major noodle in the world but it's tough,

even Japanese don't know this soft one.

IMG_5303.JPG

I coached my secret technique.

IMG_5306.JPG

And we went to Yobuko!

Jay was very happy to see Japanese technology.

IMG_5332.JPG

I got many advice at FB which squid restaurant I should to go,

Jay would go to Japanese restaurants also in Tokyo

so I chose a bit interesting one, Manbo.

IMG_5333.JPG

It's floating on the sea.

IMG_5310.JPG

There is a big fish tank in the restaurant.

IMG_5311.JPG

And I found that, even Japanese or American, what comes to our mind is the same.

IMG_5313.JPG

Jay

The first word Jay said was "oishiso".

IMG_5318.JPG

Squid!

Very fresh!

IMG_5319.JPG

Like a squid idol, with four cameras are watching.

The window is facing to the fish tank

but the other side is the sea.

It's floating restaurant so it rolls when the ship goes by.

IMG_5323.JPG

This is buri, yeallowtail.

We can have good yellowtail in Fukuoka.

IMG_5325.JPG

Oh?

It's not the best season now but it has plenty of fat.

Japanese technology...

IMG_5322.JPG

Ahhhh, I wish I wasn't a driver today.

No-alcohol...

IMG_5324.JPG

The squid is taken away soon.

IMG_5327.JPG

Grilled with salt. Goooood.

IMG_5328.JPG

Tempura

I prefer tempra squid to sashimi squid.

IMG_5329.JPG

Someone says that when we Japanese teach Japanese words to Gaijin,

we pronouce them like English words,

I agree with that, that's why the Japanese words which gaijin says sounds like English words.

"tenpuuuuura"

IMG_5330.JPG

We went to Yobuko-bridge.

IMG_5338.JPG

It's nice day, the view is supposed to be nice and clear

but lots of yellow sand is coming from China.

What a pity...
